New Appointment Strengthens Mather Jamie’s Rural Estates Team

Mather Jamie, has announced the appointment of Flo Gilman as Associate Rural Surveyor, further strengthening our growing rural estates team.

Flo holds a BSc (Hons) in Rural Enterprise and Land Management from Harper Adams University and is both a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV).

She joins Mather Jamie after five years with Fisher German LLP, where she began on a placement within the Agriculture Business and Infrastructure teams before progressing to Senior Surveyor. During this time, she gained extensive experience across estate management, agricultural consultancy, and rural property matters

In her new role, Flo will be involved in traditional estate management and valuation, working closely with clients across a range of rural assets including residential properties, farms, and agricultural land. Her work will focus on helping clients achieve their long-term objectives for their estates while maintaining and enhancing asset value.

Speaking about her appointment, Flo said “My decision to join Mather Jamie was driven by their well-established and positive reputation, reflected in their long-standing relationships with clients and the loyalty of their employees. It’s clear that the business has a genuine passion for delivering high-quality advice and building trusted partnerships, and I’m really looking forward to contributing to that.”

Adding, Robert Cole, Managing Director at Mather Jamie, said “We’re delighted to welcome Flo to the team. Her qualifications, experience, and enthusiasm for rural estate management make her an excellent addition to our business. We’re confident she will play a key role in supporting our clients and continuing to deliver the high standards of service Mather Jamie is known for.”

Outside of work, Flo is a keen runner and has completed two marathons – the Amsterdam Marathon and the Yorkshire Marathon – as well as The Big Half in London in 2024, raising funds for Ride High, a charity that helps vulnerable children build confidence and life skills through horses. She also enjoys baking and recently donated a cake to The Charles Kinston Trust. Before university, she spent several weeks volunteering in Borneo, teaching English and helping connect local communities to a fresh water supply.
