The East Midlands property sector was recently celebrated at Insider’s East Midlands Property Dinner, an event that highlights top firms in real estate, construction, and design.

As previously announced, Mather Jamie was shortlisted for both "Agent of the Year" and "Client Adviser of the Year." We are thrilled to share that we won the prestigious "Agent of the Year" award, triumphing over strong competition from esteemed firms like Innes England and FHP.

This award was open to professional firms across the East Midlands that have made a significant impact on regional property activity between 1 May 2023 and 30 April 2024.

In our submission, we emphasised our robust performance across the development, agricultural, and commercial property markets, despite challenges such as high inflation. Based in Loughborough, we have achieved the following:

  • Sold 8 development sites valued at £85 million, resulting in 1,597 new homes, including essential affordable and low-rent housing.
  • Completed over 1,222,646 sq ft of freehold and leasehold transactions, valued at approximately £26.9 million.
  • Managed more than 30 land and property portfolios, with combined asset values exceeding £200 million.
  • Continued our project management of the New Lubbesthorpe development, which will feature over 4,500 homes, along with schools, community centres, and healthcare facilities on the outskirts of Leicester.
  • Supported three surveyors in achieving their professional qualifications as Members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and The Central Association for Agricultural Valuers.
  • Expanded our professional team from 14 to 19 qualified staff, marking a 36% growth.
  • Increased investment in marketing to enhance brand visibility and generate new business for our growing team.

Commenting on the award, Mather Jamie Managing Director Robert Cole said, “Winning ‘Agent of the Year’ is a tremendous honour and a reflection of our team’s hard work and dedication. In such a competitive industry, it’s incredibly rewarding to be recognised for our commitment to excellence and innovation. This achievement inspires us to continue delivering outstanding results for our clients.”

Now in its 24th year, the East Midlands Property Dinner took place at the De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre. The sold-out event was hosted by television presenter and DJ Alex Zane.
