Mather Jamie strengthens commercial property team with two new appointments

Specialist land development and property consultancy Mather Jamie has strengthened its commercial property team with the appointments of Penny Thompson as Senior Surveyor and Frankie O’Shea as Graduate Commercial Surveyor.
Penny joins the business with a BSc (Hons) and MRICS qualification, bringing experience and expertise across the commercial property sector. In her new role, she will advise clients on the disposal and acquisition of freehold and leasehold commercial property.
Frankie joins Mather Jamie following the completion of a degree in Business Management at Newcastle University. From February 2027, Frankie will begin a part-time Master’s in Real Estate at Henley Business School alongside the role, with plans to work towards the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) qualification in the coming years.
As Graduate Commercial Surveyor, Frankie will gain experience across a range of commercial agency activities, including industrial, office and retail lettings, landlord and tenant matters, rent reviews, lease renewals, property inspections, viewings and valuations.

Outside of work, Penny is a keen open-water swimmer and runner and is preparing to take part in the Great North Swim next year.
Frankie has a keen interest in the arts and music, alongside running and hiking. Frankie also takes part in an annual local charity rugby tournament with friends, raising money for the children’s and teenage cancer ward at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
The appointments further strengthen Mather Jamie’s commercial property offering, enabling the firm to continue providing clients with specialist advice and support across a range of commercial property transactions and requirements.
