Mather Jamie Strengthens Commercial Property Team with Senior Appointment

Mather Jamie has strengthened its commercial property offering with the appointment of James Straw as Associate Director and Head of Commercial Valuations and Professional Services.
The appointment marks a significant addition to our commercial team and reinforces our commitment to providing expert valuation, landlord and tenant, and strategic property advice to clients across the region.
James joins Mather Jamie with more than 10 years of experience in the property sector and a strong track record in commercial valuation and professional services. A Chartered Surveyor since 2017, he holds both an undergraduate degree in History and Geography and a Master's Degree in Real Estate.
In his new role, James will lead our commercial valuations and professional services department, advising clients on a wide range of matters including commercial valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals, Expert Witness instructions, investment acquisitions and disposals, and strategic property consultancy.
He will also play a key role in supporting commercial development projects, providing guidance on viability, site optimisation and market positioning, while assisting clients with asset management strategies designed to maximise value and income.

Outside of his professional career, James is a keen runner and a passionate supporter of Derby County Football Club, where he is a season ticket holder.
