Land deal means 47 new homes coming soon to Brailsford

Acorn Meadows, a selection of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties available through Cameron Homes, is set to transform the former farmland on Luke Lane over the next 18 months. Planning approval for development to the site was granted by Derbyshire Dales District Council in 2017.

The first homes at the site, where construction has already begun, are expected to be available to buy this spring, with work to continue into next year. Cameron Homes is also building new homes at popular developments in nearby Aston-on-Trent, Hulland Ward and Repton.

Acorn Meadows is conveniently situated within walking distance of the Church of England primary school in Brailsford, as well as the Post Office, general store, pub & restaurant and other local amenities.

Gary Kirk, Associate Director of Mather Jamie, said: “We worked on behalf of the Landowners in conjunction with Land Promoters Richborough Estates to conduct a competitive tender process in order to achieve best value for the site, and subsequently agreed a deal with established housebuilders Cameron Homes, who have decades of experience in bringing new homes to desirable locations around the Midlands.”

Chris Wickham, Regional Land Director of Cameron Homes, said: “We look forward to bringing our high-quality homes to the village of Brailsford with the construction of Acorn Meadows. We worked hard to secure this site, which is an excellent location for our newest development in Derbyshire, and will be launching the first homes for sale here in the coming months.”
