Outline planning permission was granted by North West Leicestershire District Council for up to 2,700 new homes, 2 hectares for a new local centre, a public house, children’s nursery, medical centre, primary school, public open space and associated infrastructure. Harworth owns 75% of the consented site, comprising 2,016 new homes, with the remaining 684 new homes to be delivered by David Wilson Homes, Cadeby Homes and Davidsons Homes.
Mather Jamie brought Parcels 1b and 1c to the market by Informal Tender during Summer 2019. Following a competitive bidding process, 3 parties were shortlisted for interviews and to submit best and final offers. Redrow Homes PLC were selected as preferred bidder to acquire Parcels 1b & 1c, which offer the potential for 225 dwellings. Exchange of unconditional contracts took place in January 2020 and completion in May 2020. Parcel 1a, providing 175 potential dwellings, was subsequently marketed and sold to Bellway PLC in December 2020. Further development parcels will be brought to the market by Mather Jamie during 2021.
