Sale of land for development in Ratby, Leicestershire

Project Background

Mather Jamie worked collaboratively with the client and architect in the early stages of this project to formulate a strategy to obtain planning permission for residential development on the site which was formerly a parcel of amenity land used in conjunction with the client’s house. The client subsequently obtained planning approval for the development of 9 dwellings on the site.

Project Approach

As part of preparing the site for market, Mather Jamie facilitated the procurement of a detailed Ground Investigation Report and separate Utilities Report which both formed part of a comprehensive developer’s information pack. The information pack was hosted digitally on a bespoke data room and made available to bidders through the marketing process.  

Project Outcome

Mather Jamie were instructed to market the site with the benefit of the planning approval which had been obtained. The site was offered for sale by way of Private Treaty and a very successful outcome was achieved with the site having sold swiftly to a local house builder.
