Mather Jamie were instructed by a private landowner to provide valuation advice on a 43 acre development site benefitting from full planning permission for 167 residential plots. Mather Jamie entered into negotiations with the option holder, Bloor Homes, to determine market value and purchase price in accordance with the terms of the option agreement. The valuation was particularly complex owing to the significant amount of site enabling infrastructure works required to deliver the development.
After providing the client with valuation advice, and following a period of negotiation, Mather Jamie came to an agreement with developer on market value and the purchase price for the site. Subsequently, the site exchanged in December 2020 and completed in January 2021. Bloor Homes are now onsite delivering much needed new family homes.
