New homes to replace disused haulage yard in Hathern

The brownfield site, on Wide Street, previously operated by Goodacre Brothers, has had planning permission granted for two new houses and a bungalow to be built there, following a lengthy consultation with Charnwood Borough Council and local residents.

Dan Sturgess, Managing Director of Lychgate Homes, which has bought the site and is currently working on the new properties, said; “We’re proud to be bringing three quality new homes to Hathern. This former haulage yard was a prime location for residential redevelopment, and we’re very glad the sale was successfully negotiated by Mather Jamie.”

Lychgate Homes is one of the most prestigious house builders in the East Midlands area, operating within a 30 mile radius of Ashby-De-La-Zouch. For more information about Lychgate Homes, visit www.lychgatehomesltd.co.uk

Michael Tebbutt, Surveyor for Mather Jamie, said, “This successful sale means much needed new homes for Hathern at a local site which has been disused for several years. The demand for new residential development remains high in this area, and well located former industrial sites like this have plenty of potential to developers and communities with vision.”
