Mather Jamie achieves 100 per cent occupancy rate at South Wilford Industrial Estate units

Major refurbishment of units at South Wilford Industrial Estate in Nottingham during 2011 has enabled managing agents Mather Jamie to maintain one hundred per cent occupancy rates.

Units 26 to 31 have remained fully occupied, with the estate welcoming two new tenants following the departure of outgoing tenants last year.

Unit 27 is home to TMG Support, part of The Media Group, while Western Automation now occupies Unit 28 – both well established Nottinghamshire businesses

To modernise the premises and make them more attractive to tenants, the units were completely stripped back to their bare shell and refurbished to a high standard,

Tom Meynell, associate director with Mather Jamie in Loughborough, added: “Terms were agreed with the tenants and their input was sought at an early stage of the refurbishment programme. The end result has provided the tenants with accommodation that they could immediately occupy while bringing the units up to the modern standard which businesses in the current market expect.”

TMG Support, part of The Media Group, regards its move as an important part of expansion in the company’s third party logistics and despatch work.

The Media Group employs 70 people from its offices on the Wilford Business Park, and sees the neighbouring warehouse space as a perfect fit with its strategic growth plans.

TMG Support manager Julien Chambon added: “We had outgrown our existing warehouse space and the new premises have been bespoke-fitted to meet our needs. Our business support and third party logistics offer is growing as companies look at outsourced solutions and the new space will be used as part of that development plan.”

Units 26 to 31 are approximately 5,200 sq ft each and provide warehouse accommodation with ancillary offices.

Tom Meynell added: “We are currently in the process of agreeing exit terms with an existing occupier. Refurbishment of that unit is due to begin in February with the premises anticipated for occupation in early spring.”
